Hosted by Iran National Olympic Committee and observing health and safety guidelines, the first anniversary of National Sport, Olympic and Paralympic Museum was held.
Iran NOC, Tehran: former champions, athletes, coaches, veterans and
NFs’ president participated in the first Anniversary of the Museum which was
proceeded by donations from different federations and athletes. Dr. Seyed Reza
Salehi Amiri, NOC President, Dr. Masoud Soltanifar, Minister of Sports &
Youth and Dr. Kaykavos Saeidi, NOC Secretary-General welcomed the invitees.
Dr. Seyed Reza Salehi Amiri, host of the anniversary, highlighted that
the Museum’s Constitution had been nationally approved and the Board of
Trustees has been formed of Iranian prominent sports figures. NOC President
also stated that over 2500 premises are all nationally registered for the
museum and registration at IOC and other international platforms has been
anticipated, as well. Additionally, the President briefed the Museum’s online virtual
visit and a 5-million photography negative archive held by deceased Mr. Farsi,
Iranian famous sports photographer.
3 busts related to former Iranian Olympians and medalists were
inaugurated by the end of the ceremony. Mr. Gholamreza Takhti’s original
hand-written will was also donated to the Museum by his son.
