President Salehi Amiri met with a group of NFs’ Public Relations chiefs and listened to them. The gathering was held by observing health protocols at NOA Conference Hall.
Iran NOC, Tehran: Dr. Salehi Amiri, President of Iran
National Olympic Committee sat around a friendly table with Public Relations
chiefs at National Federation who came to be appreciated by the President. During
the meeting NOC top-ranking Officials, Secretary-General and guests exchanged
views on different issues.
“We require to empower the Public Relations, to
promote them and such meetings and gatherings are samples of convergence,
cooperation and coherence in our sports” stated President Salehi Amiri.
Dr. Salehi Amiri also highlighted the role of Public
Relations on the verge of International Public Relations Day and held: “a major
pillar is Public Relations without which sports will have no identity”.
NOC President gave a brief report on NOC activities
of the last year, as well.
Reports by Mr. Peyman Fakhri on the measures taken
during Covid-19 pandemic like holding online workshops and psychological
courses were attended. Within the report was the talk to IOC President, Mr.
Thomas Bach about the qualification and fate of Tokyo2020.
Focusing on distance learning and online workshops Dr.
Reza Gharakhanlou, the NOA Director, briefly reported on the activities of the
NOA during Covid-19 outbreak in the country and assessing the possibility of
visiting Olympians and Champions in turn in-person which will be in compliance
with health and hygienic protocols. NOA Director also pointed out that they
have prepared over 90 programs for during the year including 7 upcoming online
and distance workshops for athletes and coaches.
