Iranian Wrestling Legend’s Statue Unveiled
The unveiling ceremony of the bust of Olympic and Paralympic champions and the statue of the world Champion Takhti was held today at the National Olympic Committee with the presence of Dr. Nobakht, Dr. Soltanifar, Dr. Salehi Amiri and Pirooz Hanachi, Tehran Mayor.

Iran NOC; Tehran: The ceremony was attended by Dr. Nobakht, Vice President and President of the Planning and Budget Organization, Dr. Soltanifar, Minister of Sports and Youth, Dr. Salehi Amiri, President of the National Olympic Committee, Pirooz Hanachi, Mayor of Tehran, Mahmoud Khosravi Vafa, President of the National Paralympic Committee, Dr. Hassan Ghazizadeh Hashemi, former Minister of Health, Dr. Kaykavos Saeedi, the NOC Secretary General, Dr. Seyed Mohsen Mir, Director of the National Sports Museum and some Deputy Ministers of Sports and Youth, members of the Executive Board, president of federations, and a number of committee directors The National Olympic Committee. In this ceremony, first a clip of the biographies of Mahmoud Namjoo, Mohammad Ali Khojastehpour, Mohammad Paziraei, Esmaeil Elamkhah, Aboutaleb Talebi, Parviz Jalayer, Seyed Shamsoddin Seyed Abbasi, Mansour Barzegar, Mohammad Reza Mirzaei Jaberi was broadcast and then from the busts of these Olympic Champions and the Paralympics’ were unveiled in the presence of Mansour Barzegar and Mohammad Reza Mirzaei Jaberi and the families of the heroes. Dr. Salehi Amiri then presented a plaque of appreciation to Dr. Nobakht and Dr. Ghazizadeh Hashemi for their valuable services in developing and supporting the country's sports.

At the end of the ceremony, after playing a clip of the biography of World Champion Takhti, his complete statue as a symbol of the National Museum of Sports was unveiled as well.
